Mission

YERA Hub aims to protect people and planet by sharing our interdisciplinary research into EU environmental law with civil society and stakeholders, and by forming alliances with like-minded NGOs for impactful advocacy.

The challenge

Environmental law is an indispensable tool for combatting the global polycrisis and ensuring environmental justice. However, it is a rapidly evolving and highly complex, interdisciplinary field - not least within the EU. As such, significant challenges persist surrounding its interpretation, application, communication, and even around core concepts and definitions.

The solution

We take a multifaceted approach to this complex challenge. By providing robust research to civil society and stakeholders we provide the clarity which is necessary for compliance with and implementation of environmental law. This work gives us deep insight into the developing challenges, allowing us to advocate impactfully in collaboration with partners. And finally, not only do we embrace innovative developments in the field and support their development through interdisciplinary research, but we also take novel approaches to the communication of our findings with the aim of empowering stakeholders.
