Mission

Our mission is to transform discarded umbrellas into valuable, sustainable products by repurposing their materials and recycling their components, reducing waste, and fostering a circular economy in the city.

The challenge

Each year, over 10 million umbrellas are sold in the Netherlands. Many of these are discarded within the same year, contributing significantly to environmental waste. This accumulation of waste is not currently being effectively reused or recycled, posing a challenge to sustainable practices in the country.​

The solution

We propose repurposing discarded umbrellas into practical, eco-friendly products. By upcycling umbrella materials, we can create items such as:​ * Anti-Rain Ponchos. * Bike Seat Covers. * Shopping bags. etc.
